ERIK GROSZYK

ELITE TRAINER

Erik Groszyk brings a wealth of playing experience and passion for the game to his work with young athletes. Widely regarded as one of the most decorated and winningest players in Salem High boys basketball history, he was a rare 2x NEC MVP, and 3x Conference All-Star. He was the primary playmaker, and one of two 1,000-point scorers, on a powerhouse team that won back-to-back NEC championships, including a remarkable 29-game conference win streak.

Other individual honors include being named to both the Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Scholastic teams, BABC Boston Shootout Tournament MVP, and receiving the prestigious Moynihan Lumber Male Student-Athlete of the Year award.

Off the court, Erik excelled just as highly, earning recognition as a National Merit Scholarship Finalist. His blend of academic and athletic excellence attracted recruiting interest from multiple Ivy League and Patriot League programs, ultimately leading him to commit to Harvard University. At Harvard, he was a member of the men’s varsity basketball team for three years, where he continued to hone his skills and leadership despite an injury that limited his time on the court.

Today, Erik channels that same commitment, discipline, and love for the game into mentoring youth players. His goal is to help the next generation build the winning habits, confidence, resilience, and accountability that basketball—and life—demand.
